Our Lady of the Rocks Island

Our Lady of the Rocks (Gospa od Škrpjela) is a tiny and beautiful artificial islet in front of Perast city in the Bay of Kotor. There is another little island next to it - Island of Saint George that makes a wonderful landscape.

The bay is pretty small so you observe an appealing view of Perast as well as the whole Bay of Kotor around. You can reach an island from Perast by boat as it's the closest coast to the island. It will take around 15 mins to go around the whole island or 40-60mins if you want to explore every single part of it, buildings and take a beautiful photos. There is an old Roman Catholic Church on the island with a museum and a small gift shop. You can leave a coin in the bowl for coin in the inner yard of the church - it has a good tradition in order to come back to this beautiful location.

A very nice lighthouse is located on the corner of the island showing the light for traveling around ships and boats. The road to the lighthouse as well as around the church and all around the island is decorated with palms and beautiful trees, makes the island so cozy and truly amazing attraction.
