Autumn on the sea is a golden time. It’s the time when people return to work from vacations and those who don’t have kids or don’t have to return to education, have an opportunity to enjoy this beautiful season. There are much less tourists everywhere but still warm and not so hot as at summer.
When you have an opportunity to travel to the coast at autumn time, you can fully enjoy nature without crowds. The days are getting shorter and water slowly becomes colder. But you still have a chance to swim, breathe and enjoy the time at the sea.
Who is the Autumn on the Coast For?
Despite the common opinion, autumn at the coast brings cold rainy season much later and there are not many rainy grey days. What I love about autumn on the Adriatic sea the most –
sunsets. Each sunset is a masterpiece of nature, extremely beautiful, with bright red, orange, purple, pink and much more colors. As for me, it’s the most inspiring season, that is aimed to inspire, awake creative side of those who are in need. It’s a perfect time to connect with nature, self, learn to draw, meditate and much more. It’s time for artists to arise.
Also if you feel the depression of the season on the mainland, tired of grey wet days, and want to lift up your mood and recall how beautiful life is, it’s time for you to spend some time on the coast. People, who don’t like crowded places come to the coast to find peace, rest and motivation for the whole year ahead.
What Difficulties You might Face at Autumn
- Mold. Humidity at the coast is higher so there are more chances to find mold. So when you’re searching for the accommodation, it’s better to check this point carefully. It’s a good idea to ventilate the room, to have a certain heater in case of cold days. And that’s all. Not too crazy.
- Sometimes there could be raining so it’s better to have an appropriate clothes and shoes. There could be hail, so if you’re traveling by car, heavy hail (which is very rare), could damage cars. So if there is any tent or garage for a car – that would be the best option.
- After a strong wind the water could be very cold for swimming and at autumn it takes more time to get it warmer.
- If there is a strong rain, the roads get slippery so it needs to be very careful driving or maybe don’t drive far. But this could be at any season. Some roads could be impossible to pass by at a heavy rain.
