Ratac Fortress Ruins

Ratac Fortress Ruins is a lovely historical landmark in Bar region. The ruins of old fortress are located in a forest so it's pretty hard to find it. It is located between Bar and Sutomore cities. To get to the fortress, you need to drive along the main road and park your car at Ratac parking. From that point, walk through the forest towards the sea. There are few hiking trails. One of them will lead you to the nude beach and another one - to Ratac Fortress Ruins. 

It's a very picturesque place with beautiful nature, very quiet and peaceful location. The ruins are near the sea so it's a very private place. There is an old abandoned church there and walls of the fortress that form a labyrinth. The fortress isn't big but well-saved. It's very nice to walk there and feel a touch of history. But for some people it might look pretty scary - empty abandoned place in the middle of nowhere lol But as I always say - it's the matter of perspective.

The is a trail from the fortress along the coast and you can go to the beach. The road is pretty dangerous but if you're ready for an adventure - you will love it! There are amazing views to the cities of bar and Barska Riviera and tender sunset light adds tenderness and colors to the scenery.
