Bar’s City Beach

Šušanjska Plaža (beach) is one of the best beaches in Montenegro. It is located in Bar, far from the city's port that's why the beach is clean. It is also located in the region of the city which is near the entrance to the city that's why it is very popular for tourists. There are a lot of apartments you can rent next to the beach. What makes it so perfect - there is a big free parking near the beach and near Adriatic Highway (Jadranska magistrala).
Next to the beach, you can see a pretty wide coniferous forest that gives shadow and amazing coniferous smell. Tourists with kids like this beach because even if it's a very hot day, it's not that hot on that beach because of that forest. It has a stony entrance so it's preferable to wear swimming shoes if you are not used to such a beach. And the view is just amazing! There is a port from the one side, stones in the sea - from the other side and so tender mountains surround the whole city and take your breath away! And because the breach is stony, the water is almost always very clear and clean, has a beautiful color. Adriatic sea is, in general, a bit colder than Mediterranean and cleaner because most beaches are stony.
The beach also has a very nice smell not only because of sea's breeze but also because of coniferous trees. Besides, despite the stony entrance to the sea, there are no sea urchins what makes the beach very safe and for kids. In the high season there are also paid sunbeds and umbrellas, as well as free space if you prefer to rest using your beach mat. Beach bars offer some drinks and food. You can also rent a beach mat, boat or a wave runner. There are few touristic infoboxes on the beach where you can choose any excursion you want.
