National Park Biogradska Gora is the oldest national park in Montenegro, located in the northeast its part. This park belongs to UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves.
The main attraction of the park is Biogradske lake. It's a beautiful lake in the middle of forest. There is a narrow hiking trail around d the lake through the forest where you can walk and enjoy amazing views. The forest itself is one of the last three large virgin rainforests in Europe.
A lot of benches near and around the lake give you a chance to make a break, sit and look around. A local restaurant is located in the park. There are also a lot of places where you can have your own picnic enjoying breathtaking views. Just don't forget to take care of nature and take the garbage with you, don't leave it in the forest.
Incredible mountains around the park add amazing colors and uniqueness to the main landscape. National Park Biogradska Gora contains a numerous species of flora and fauna. The entrance is paid. Once you have arrived to the main location, there is a touristic center where you can get all the needed information as well as map with routs.
