SUMMARY:TRADITIONAL KOTOR CARNIVAL 2023
DESCRIPTION:This year’s traditional Kotor Carnival will be held from February 25 to March 5. \n\n\n\nThe rich program includes the raising of the carnival flag on the Pjaca square on Saturday\, February 25\, at 11 a.m.\, when the city music\, majorettes and masks will tour the Old Town. After that\, there will be a concert by the “Šufit” band on the Weapons Square\, which will entertain the guests with another band on the same day\, at 9:00 p.m.\, in the “Vukšić” Business Center. A traditional children’s masquerade ball is scheduled for February 26\, which will be held at the “Blue Kotor Bay” hotel in Prčanje\, starting at 4:00 p.m.\, and on February 27\, a carnival raffle will also be held at the “Camelija” school. \n\n\n\nThe carnival procession is planned for March 5\, starting at 3:00 p.m.\, on the stretch from the Summer Pool to Mace\, where the person responsible for all the misfortunes of Kotor in the past year will be tried\, judged and burned. \n\n\n\nAfter that\, a musical program will already be in progress in the Old Town\, with a performance by the band “Toć”\, followed by a concert by Jelena Rozga\, at 7 p.m. \n\n\n\nSource: https://radiokotor.info/clanak/zabava/tradicionalni-kotorski-karneval-od-25.-februara-do-5.-marta/0

SUMMARY:International Carnival in Lustica Bay
DESCRIPTION:The first International Carnival in Lustica Bay will take a part on Sunday. About two hundred masks and thirteen carnival ensembles from the country and the world will participate. The carnival in Lustica Bay represents the continuation of the tradition of the famous coastal masquerades that have delighted the inhabitants of the Adriatic Riviera and numerous tourists for centuries. \n\n\n\nThe first Lustica Bay carnival will be a great opportunity to get to know local customs\, but also different cultures and carnival traditions from around the world. The carnival groups “Za dišpet” from Kotor\, “Maškara” from Herceg Novi\, “Feštađuni” from Budva and “Maškarada” from Tivat will show their skills and cheerful festival mood\, and ensembles from Bolivia\, Brazil\, Italy\, and Serbia will perform alongside them\, Croatia and North Macedonia. The carnival ensembles Brasil Bahia and Mantok Samba will surely attract the special attention of visitors with their color\, dance and attractive performance. \n\n\n\nThe carnival parade starts from the big breakwater at 8:45 p.m.\, will parade through the Marina Village\, and then from 9 p.m. in the Amphitheater\, the carnival groups will present themselves individually with a special choreography. A real revue of colorful masks and costumes from different historical eras is expected\, and the popular majorettes from Novalja and city music from Novi and Kotor will also join. Musical accompaniment and playful notes will be provided by the band Briganti di terra d’Otranto with a concert at Mali Lukobran from 9:30 p.m. \n\n\n\nCarnival is a celebration where\, in addition to dancing and music\, you can also enjoy gourmet specialties\, favorite treats and drinks that lift your spirits.
