The first regional LBTQ festival called “BIZA” will take part in Podgorica this September!

The name of the festival, according to the tradition in LGBTIQ activism, takes the term, which in colloquial and archaic Montenegrin language refers to “bitch”, “disobedient and obstinate” woman, and gives it a new meaning. Biz is a proud woman who doesn’t give up on herself or her voice. Which does not allow restrictive norms to put her in a cage. She bites the patriarchy and fights for values such as love, respect, solidarity, Communion, for herself and all her sisters. She’s loud, she’s important and respected.

The festival program brings activities such as panel discussions and discussions that are in accordance with the current situation when we talk about human rights and policies in Montenegro and the countries of the region, informative and creative workshops that will aim to provide an answer to the challenges we have recognized as burning, exhibition and music program that will focus on artists from the region, especially artists from the LBTQ community.
